Drew grew up in Niagara, Ontario, the very heart of Ontario's wine country and spent several summers working in local wineries.
Upon completing his B.A. at the University of Western Ontario, Drew continued to develop a love for food and wine. He joined the International Sommelier Guild while working with Chef Tony De Luca at Hillebrand Winery at Niagara on the Lake. Later, Drew practiced his craft at the historic Oban Inn.
Over the course of the past four years, Drew visited famous wine regions in France, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and North America. In 2007, he came to Vancouver to complete the ISG Sommelier Diploma.
After a brief stint home to Ontario, Drew returned once again to Vancouver to join the dynamic and talented restaurant team at Lumière.
In Vancouver, Drew has found his opus working at a 45-seat Five Diamond, Relais & Chateaux class restaurant headed by two Grand Chefs, and surrounded by some of the finest new world wineries in North America. His passion is service, ensuring the ultimate fine dining service experience imaginable to Lumière guests.
Drew has been heard on CBC radio Vancouver talking wine, and is always excited to discuss and learn about the developing wine regions of B.C.
