Your Very Own Salon Privé
In this jewelbox of a 45-seat restaurant, the dining experience is always private, always extraordinary. However, on those occasions requiring total privacy or exclusivity, the Lumière dining room transforms into your very own Salon Privé.
Lumière remains closed Mondays to accommodate private parties and special events, but, due to the intimate scale of the restaurant, mid-week and weekend events can often be accommodated given adequate notice in advance.
Hosts and event planners are invited to inquire with General Manager Chris González or Maitre d' Drew Walker directly, to plan the perfect event of a lifetime; a very special event custom designed to meet your most exacting standards, beyond expectations and within budget.
Since re-opening in December of 2008, Lumière has become a very popular, private dining destination. Under the experienced guidance of Chef Daniel Boulud, Chef MacKay offers a unique and delectable, 'un-hurried yet un-restricted' dining experience that leaves guests' palates and pocketbooks very satisfied.
Chef MacKay credits the combined offering of approachable Five Diamond, Grand Relais & Chateaux Class cuisine and service, and the opulent comfort of a private-residence-like space, for the growing interest in private dining at Lumière.
On those occasions when time is of the essence, or Lumière is fully booked, consider a lunch or brunch event (Lumière is not open to the public for lunch), or inquire as to the availability of our sister (and adjoining) restaurant, db Bistro Moderne. At capacity, db Bistro can seat 85 comfortably for dinner, and in fair weather can open her bar onto the heated patio to accommodate an additional 38.
Adjoining Private Dining Room
A designated private dining room in db Bistro Moderne, designed to be separate from but accessible to Lumière guests by way of the wine vault, seats up to 20 guests at a single rectangular table, or 16 guests at three tables set for four, and two tables set for two. Our Maitre d', Sommelier and Chefs work with you to configure the private dining room with Lumière and/or db Bistro Moderne, to provide optimum comfort to your guests, and to ensure ease of presentation and service. On occasion, organizers of food & wine themed and industry parties and fundraisers have booked both Lumière and db Bistro Moderne for a single, progressive event. Our adjoining restaurants with the shared management of Chef Daniel's Boulud and his renowned Dinex Group of New York, provide optimal flexibility, and make the planning and execution of special events easy and enjoyable for organizers.
Also on occasion, and sometimes in tandem with our sister restaurant db Bistro Moderne, we will off-site cater extraordinary in-home events for our clients or small-scale wedding rehearsal dinners or anniversary parties. We are experienced in such undertakings and, with the combined experience of our resident culinary team and Daniel Boulud's Feast & Fetes Catering in New York, we have a wealth of inspiration to draw on. Special Occasion Services: Included are menu planning, wine pairing, personalized menu printing, coat check. A la carte services include valet parking, place-card and custom-cover menu printing, entertainment, dining table-top floral arrangements, specialty cake and pastry (created by Lumière Pastry Chefs), photography services, audio-visual equipment rental, towncar or limousine service. Corporate Event Services: Included are menu planning, wine pairing, personalized menu printing, high-speed internet access, coat check. A la carte services include valet parking, custom-cover menu printing, audio-visual and presentation equipment rental, towncar or limousine service.
Private Event Booking Policy: We require a food and beverage minimum based on the day and date of your event. Your event menu must be planned in advance. We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, and ask that the balance be paid in full at the conclusion of your event.
